Successful Living
“Only after the last tree has been cut down... the last river has been poisoned... the last fish caught, only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.” Chief Seattle, native American leader, c1786-1866
For me, living successfully is a combination of a number of things … it’s certainly not about how much money I have, the suburb I live in, the car I drive or even the position I hold on the corporate ladder etc. It’s more about the impact I have on my environment (physical and energetic) as well as on the people around me and this is where EFT has played a huge role … I’m grateful and honoured to be of service by positively impacting people's lives so they may live in peace, acceptance and harmony. It is amazing how EFT facilitates and 'converts' (releases) negative emotions like anger, guilt, grief, sadness etc into positive healthier emotions of acceptance, forgiveness, dignity, respect, peace etc. What a beautiful and powerful process! Wow … I am in awe of EFT every time I work with somebody. And, as such I’m so passionately enthusiastic that I cannot wait to share this little ‘gift’ with anybody and everybody!!
While reading a magazine the other day, I found this which I’d like to share and hopefully it will inspire you as it did me … because I suddenly realised that with EFT I’m better equipped to deal wth life.

After reading this, take a few minutes to think about your life … we have just begun a new year – isn’t it time for change? Changing those bad habits, letting go of negative emotions like anger, guilt, grief over the loss of a loved one or even stress which don’t serve us. You literally hold the keys to successful living within your hands – NOW is the time to uncover a simple tool which will change your life forever! With EFT you can control how you react; you can let go and move on from situations which don’t serve you; what you think or how you feel about yourself, your partner, your colleagues, your friends etc … with EFT its simple to let go and move on!
From an environmental point of view, about two years ago I decided to become a vegetarian in order to reduce my carbon footprint and impact I’m making on Mother Earth as well as to enhance my health and well being. John Robbins’ book, ‘The Food Revolution – how your diet can help save your life and our world’ truly hit home and changed my life. So many people have glibly asked how one person can possibly make any difference, and in reply I quote Ghandi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world” … I am far from perfect but I do have freewill and therefore take responsibility for my choices, aspiring towards living a healthy life and sustaining this planet for generations to come, if not for myself, at least for your children!
Where ever possible I buy organic products, preferably that which is grown in SA thereby reducing the environmental impact … better still, I grow as much of my own vegetables as possible. With very little effort (and much fun) my small vege patch has offered a fabulous yield of spinach, tomatoes, onions, beetroot, butternuts, varieties of lettuce, beans, potatoes, carrots as well as various herbs. Working in the vege patch is relaxing and rewarding; it certainly isn’t hard work nor time consuming. My recently acquired ‘worm farm’ consumes and converts the household vegetable waste into compost for the garden beds and vegetable patch.
Thanks to the daily / frequent use of EFT and while striving to live a healthier organic lifestyle this has enabled me to drop most of the chemical toxins from my life too. I no longer use sugar, have dropped tea and coffee entirely, I drink around 2 litres of water a day instead and where possible I use fresh products over tins, bottled or boxed. Essential oils and EM (Effective Microorganisms) have further replaced the use of chemical toxins – be it mozzie bites / itching, bruises, headaches, period pains etc. Much to the consternation of my cleaning lady, I’ve even dropped the use of household chemicals, opting for bio-degradable products like Triple Orange instead for the laundry, dishes and cleaning. In the garden I’ve successfully used EM (Effective Microorganisms) to treat or rid a variety of ‘unfriendly’ little creatures too. Companion planting works wonders too.
Where ever possible, I’m doing my best to live a harmonious lifestyle in keeping with nature. And, I urge you to try this too … start with simple things like recycling your paper – reuse the back of discarded A4 pages as little message / scribble pads. Be mindful: reduce your use of electricity, hot water, take a quick 2 minute shower and only flush the toilet when necessary. Grow your own veges – its fun, they’re fresh and they taste delicious! Consider following a vegetarian diet for two or three days a week.
May 2009 be your ‘abundant’ year … a year of positive changes, of personal growth and time for you to embrace health and happiness. Hopefully our paths will cross so I can share the ‘gift’ of EFT with you … your health is in your hands!
Yours in abundance and successful living,
Namaste
Bridget
